Who it's for

Anyone who wants the house sorted without losing a weekend to it.

What you'll get out of it

  • Safety level marked on every single day
  • A finished, personalised action plan at the end

How to use this reset

One task a day. Most take under twenty minutes; four are longer and are marked so you can move them to a weekend.

Every day is labelled with a safety level:

  • DIY — safe for a careful beginner.
  • CAUTION — safe with the stated precautions; stop if anything surprises you.
  • PRO — inspection only. You look, you note, you book somebody.

If you miss a day, do not restart. Pick up where you left off. The point is that the house ends up in better shape than it started, not that you keep a streak.

Day 1 — Replace the HVAC filter

Why it matters: airflow drives everything your heating system does, and a blocked filter makes it work harder and heat less. Time: 10 minutes · Difficulty: Easy · Safety: DIY · Tools: new filter, marker Do it: read the size off the old filter''s edge, slide the new one in with the arrow pointing towards the unit, and write the date on it. Show Me How: "Change an air filter."
