What to do, in order
- Step 1: Find the leaks by moving a lit incense stick slowly along the frame on a windy day.
- Step 2: Scrape off old caulk and clean the surface.
- Step 3: Run a fresh bead of exterior caulk along the outside frame joints.
- Step 4: Replace worn door weatherstripping and add a door sweep at the threshold.
- Step 5: Re-test with the incense stick to confirm the draft is gone.
