Change an HVAC air filter the right way

Steps

1. Turn the system off at the thermostat.
2. Open the return grille or the filter slot at the air handler.
3. Read the size printed on the frame of the old filter before you throw it out.
4. Slide the new filter in with the airflow arrow pointing toward the furnace or air handler.
5. Close the grille, restart the system, and write the date on the filter edge.
