Washer full of water? Here's what to do first
Most no-drain washers are a clogged pump filter or a kinked drain hose, not a dead machine. Drain the drum safely first, then clear the filter.
DIY with caution
Doable for a careful homeowner — read the safety note first and stop if anything doesn't match what you see.
Beginner About 40 min
Unplug the machine before opening any panel, and expect a few litres of water at the filter.

What to do, in order
- Step 1: Unplug the washer and turn off its water supply.
- Step 2: Open the small hatch at the bottom front, put a shallow tray and towels down, and drain through the little hose before touching the filter.
- Step 3: Unscrew the pump filter and pull out coins, hair and lint; rinse it under a tap.
- Step 4: Straighten the drain hose behind the machine and check it isn't pushed too far down the standpipe.
- Step 5: Refit the filter hand-tight, plug in, and run a short rinse-and-spin to confirm.
